I have no idea how to read this.. I have contacted blizzard support. I have run through EVERY Tech thing I was told on the support forums I have uninstalled reinstalled wow soo many times.. this computer isn't even a month old yet... some days I am good and can stay on for hours at a time... some days I get 28 errors running through IF to the bird from the mystic ward.
(YEs I was serious... 28)

I am at a loss. I have been afraid to raid cuz if I make it in off the waitlist I don't wanna dc 50 bazillion times and get hoofed from the raid...
I am so frustrated, I know it isn't the best computer I could buy but it is all I can afford right now. I know it shouldn't be doing this... *sigh*

Last time i heard about/saw a problem like this, it was a stick of memory going bad. I know you said the machine isnt even a month old but you still cant rule out hardware failure. And no, im not saying its the best chance/only chance, just something to look into at some point.

You can check your memory by running a program called memtest. Go to the website, click on free download on the left hand side, download the .zip file that suits you best, burn the image to a CD. After all that, put the cd in the drive and reboot the computer, hopefully it will already be trying to boot from the CD drive first and if so the system will automatically go into memtest and start running it. This isnt a short test mind you but it does a damn good job of checking the memory.

If anyone else has other options, cause i know that memory isnt the only possible wrong, just a fairly easy option to check.

Alternately, Vista has its own memory test built in. You can schedule it to run on next boot.

Ah, yeah... i should mention that i still run XP, and dont know much about vista yet either.

My first guess would be memory as well. The link provided says the PC came w/ 3BG RAM. I'm guessing three 1GB sticks or maybe one 1GB + one 2GB sticks. Either way, try taking out one of the sticks of ram. Reboot, run WOW, look for error, repeat til you've checked all sticks of ram. It's a simple easy to do process of elimination. Hopefully, you take out one of the sticks and the error goes away. Then just replace that stick.

Also, are your Video Drivers and DirectX up to date?

I see a lot of good suggestions here, I don't have much to add. Errors like this are usually caused by bad RAM or possibly RAM that has the timings set too tightly, although you have a prefab PC and that shouldn't be an issue. Good luck!

I call the store today, and needless to say he laughed at me when I told him about it and the suggestions that Blizzard had, he was all like this is a software issue, and it is isolated, I was like wtf are you talking about there are loads and loads about this same error on the tech support sites and such, and he told me that I was welcome to bring it in but he said it sounded like I ran through all the tests they would do, updating drivers etc. so yeah.. and I am past my 2 week return period... soo yeah.. I am stuck with it now. I shoulda saved my money and built one like I did my old one.. *grrr*

Well for the money this *seemed* like the way to go, I have been running the game in opengl for the last 2 days and haven't had any errors... except when I tried to double box and play sound in each window.. then I got it on the second window. So yeah, I am thinking the low end 9300 is ok, but wow is just a tad much.
So I figure I will get a video card when I can, for now I will run in opengl then save up and build some bad ass system next year on my holidays instead of going anywhere..
